Most of you know that I live in NWA but some do not know that this is the headquarters of both Walmart and Tyson. Last week I was asked if I would be available to attend a Dibs on My Ribs BBQ Contest at Tyson’s Headquarters in Springdale, Arkansas.
This friday the top 6 BBQ Recipes (that have been collected since May) will be cooking their dish for a chance to win a year’s supply of groceries, in the form of 12 $500 Gift Cards! Man, what a prize!
I can’t believe I did not know about this contest, I would have entered something for sure. Even though I can’t enter that contest I’m excited to create a new BBQ sauce inspired recipe for y’all. I’ve been thinking something up and I’ll share it with you next week. Here is a little preview of the yumminess to come. It will include Kraft BBQ Sauce, Cheese, Bacon and schmelty goodness. Be excited!
On Friday I’ll be tweeting updates from the #DibsonMyRibs event if you’d like to follow along. I’ve never been to a cook-off event before so I’m really excited to see everything it entails. I wonder if we’ll get to sample the dishes? I guess we will just have to see!
