I had the absolute pleasure of being able to bless some children in our community with quality school supplies. Thanks to Elmer’s and their #BagitForward program, I was able to take all of these school supplies to a local Elementary school classroom that was recommended by a teacher friend of mine. I know that so many parents are facing uncertain financial events in their lives and I loved the opportunity to help some children who might be in need. Can you believe how affordable glue is at Walmart?
I was able to get everything you see here for just $20! This was a big ol’ bag of supplies that, hopefully, will encourage some creativity in learning for many months to come for the receiving students. I was also able to create a Glue Crew Recycling box using some Elmer’s products plus a few things I had in my craft box. Have you heard of the Glue Crew Recycling program? I had no idea such a great program existed before this campaign.
You take a box, design it however you like and the children in the classroom use the box to store their used glue bottles and glue sticks to be recycled at a later date.
I am not a crafty person but I enjoyed the fun of creating this little box, I hope their classroom will like it! Maybe they’ll even add a few fun decorations to it over the school year.
Another really fun way you can get involved is by downloading the free Elmer’s First Day App. It is such a fun, easy app for you phone that lets you share pictures of your kids at school with friends and relatives. Who doesn’t want to share pictures of their cutie patootie kids at school? So fun! In addition to helping share and organize school pictures, for every picture uploaded, Elmer’s will donate one item to the Kids in Need Foundation. How awesome is that?
