As most of you read over here, I have a love/hate relationship with my crock pot. I love that my Mamasuey gave it to me but I hate that it dries out every single thing I try to make in it. There are two exceptions to this: Beans and Ribs. Tonight I’m making Crock Pot Ribs to rekindle my romance with my crock pot and then this weekend I’m going to do some research and invest in a new crock pot, one I will hopefully fall in love with. So, here’s to day one of my journey. I hope to find a new kitchen friend in the crock pot.
Crock Pot Ribs
1 slab Pork Spare Ribs
1 bottle barbecue sauce
a few dashes of a BBQ or Mesquite seasoning (like rendezvous or corkys)
Cut ribs into smaller sections and sprinkle each section with seasoning. Layer each slab section in your crock pot, pouring sauce over each segment before layering on the next. Cover with lid and cook on low for 6-8 hrs. When finished, serve brushed with more sauce and enjoy!
If you have a crock pot recipe to inspire me along my journey, I’d love for you to share it over here.
