Bacon and Pea Alfredo

January 26, 2012

Here is an archive recipe that deserves a repost. This dish is absolutely delicious and will be on your table as quick as you can boil the noodles! Fast, frugal and delicious. You need to make this by the end of the week.

8 oz Spaghetti Noodles or penne
1 jar alfredo sauce
1/2 cup half/half or heavy cream
2 cups frozen green peas
6-8 pieces bacon, cooked and crumbled
salt and pepper to taste
1 cup shredded real parmesan cheese (optional)

Boil noodles as directed. In a large sauce pan, cook bacon, remove from pan and crumble. Pour out excess bacon grease but leave browned bits in the pan. Return crumbled bacon to the pan and combine with sauce and peas. Bring to a slight simmer,  add milk and drained noodles, toss to coat well. Serve topped with fresh parmesan cheese. Enjoy!
