Buttermilk Grilled Chicken

March 29, 2012

Buttermilk does a wonderful job infusing your chicken and keeping it moist and delicious! Southerners have been using it as a secret weapon for years. Today I’m going to share a great grilling recipe with you. If you bought some buttermilk for baking and don’t know how to use up the last of it, this is for you!

Ingredients
2-3 lbs chicken (whatever you like)
1 1/2 cups buttermilk
2 cloves garlic
1 tablespoon cavender’s seasoning (I use the sodium and msg free)

In a large ziploc bag, combine buttermilk, chicken, garlic and seasonings. Let sit in the fridge over night. Set out on the counter 30 minutes before you are ready to grill. Remove from the marinade and grill until chicken is cooked through. Once chicken is finished grilling, drizzle with honey or brush with bbq sauce if desired. Serve with your favorite vegetable or a big salad and enjoy!
