Chocolate, Pretzel and Craisin Bark

December 21, 2012

I saw this recipe in a recent All You magazine and thought it was just perfect for a Christmas treat. It could not be easier to make and has great festive flavors.

8 oz bittersweet chocolate
1/2 cup craisins
1 cup pretzel rings or twists

Grease a piece of wax paper and line an 8×8 square pan, set aside. Melt chocolate using a double boiler or checking every 30 sec in the microwave.  Once melted through, pour into lined pan and smooth the chocolate evenly. Press pretzels and craisins into chocolate and let cool completely (until hardened) about 15 minutes. Break apart and enjoy!

*after pouring into the 8×8 pan, I thought it was still too thick so I removed the wax paper from the pan and spread it out a little more. It starts hardening pretty quickly, so you don’t have to worry about it spreading too much if you remove it from the pan.
