Pesto Pizza

Want a super flavorful pizza that is in the oven in minutes? This is it. Our whole family loves it (especially my 3 and 5 year old). You can add chicken, shrimp or more veggies if you’d like, I enjoy the simplicity of this uptown cheese pizza. Serve with a salad or bowl of fruit and enjoy a light day in the kitchen.

1 prepared perfect pizza dough
1/2 cup prepared basil pesto (look in your deli section and read the ingredient list)
1/2 cup marinara
1 to 2 cups mozzarella (if you like it super cheesy or not)
1/2 cup freshly grated parmesan (optional)

Preheat oven to 425. Roll out dough on a pizza stone. Spread pesto evenly onto pizza crust, follow with marinara. Top with cheese (make sure cheese is freshly grated from a block, not pre-shredded) and bake for 20 minutes. Allow to cool 5-10 minutes before serving. It really is that easy.  Enjoy!
